This hand-carved Breastplate pendant is crafted by a skilled Maori carver from genuine West Coast Kawakawa Flower Jade, one of New Zealand’s most prized types of greenstone. Kawakawa is known for its rich, dark green colour with natural shading and variations, named after the native Kawakawa leaf.

The Flower Jade element brings its distinctive pale green or ochre cloud-like patterns, formed from the oxidised rind of pounamu boulders, making each pendant truly one-of-a-kind. This combination of Kawakawa and Flower Jade creates a striking piece that carries both visual beauty and cultural significance.
