The Hundertwasser 808B colourway is based on his 1984 environmental poster “Hainburg – Free Nature Is Our Freedom” (Hainburg – Die freie Natur ist unsere Freiheit). Created to support a campaign protecting Austria’s river meadows from a proposed power plant, the artwork features a stylized landscape with swirling, vibrant colours. Hundertwasser actively participated in the protest, camping with demonstrators in freezing weather, and donated the poster to help fundraise for environmental and legal aid initiatives. The bold and playful tones of this yarn echo the spirit of activism and nature celebrated in the original work.

Made from 75% virgin wool (superwash) and 25% polyamide, this hat is soft, absorbent, durable, and machine washable at 40°C. The superwash finish ensures it remains non-felting and unshrinkable, combining practical care with artistic inspiration.
