The colourway Hundertwasser 805 draws inspiration from his 1979 mixed-media artwork “Les Solitudes” (French for The Solitudes), also known as “Die Vier Einsamkeiten” (The Four Solitudes). Hundertwasser described this painting as being “about high water, like 609 Shipwreck,” reflecting moments of peace and isolation he cherished while painting indoors, away from crowds. Created in Corsica during a summer stay in a friend’s castle, the piece captures a sense of quiet reflection and warmth — feelings echoed in the gentle colour tones of this yarn.

Made from 75% virgin wool (superwash) and 25% polyamide, this hat is soft, absorbent, durable, and machine washable at 40°C. The superwash finish ensures it remains non-felting and unshrinkable, combining artistic inspiration with practical comfort for everyday wear.
