Hand-knitted by local Kaipara artist Erika Husselmann exclusively for the Hundertwasser Art Centre, this beautiful wool hat will keep kids’ heads warm while celebrating the distinctive artistic vision of Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
Made using Opal Yarn – According to Hundertwasser 150, “Singing Steamer”, this colourway is inspired by Singing Steamer in Ultramarine III (1959), a mixed-media painting depicting a colourful, geometric submarine drawn from one of Hundertwasser’s cherished childhood memories.
Featuring a playful pom pom, this cosy 8-ply hat has an unstretched diameter of approximately 18.5cm and measures approximately 14cm from crown to folded edge. Made from 75% virgin wool (superwash) and 25% polyamide, the hat is soft, absorbent, durable, and machine washable at 40°C. The superwash finish helps prevent felting and shrinkage, making it practical and easy to care for.
Please Note: The image is an example only and may not show the exact hat you receive. As each hat is individually hand-knitted, there will be slight variations in the colour pattern and placement, making every hat unique.
