The Hundertwasser 831 colourway is based on his 1982 mixed-media painting “Tender Dinghi”, created over several months from February to June in Kaurinui, New Zealand, and finished in Vienna in July. Painted on primed chipboard using watercolor, egg tempera, polyvinyl, oil, lacquer, and gold leaf, the artwork features a colourful dinghy in Hundertwasser’s signature style, with irregular, brightly coloured shapes and flowing, organic forms. The playful, maritime-inspired palette of this yarn reflects the beauty and vibrancy of the original work.

Made from 75% virgin wool (superwash) and 25% polyamide, this hat is soft, absorbent, durable, and machine washable at 40°C. The superwash finish ensures it remains non-felting and unshrinkable, combining practical care with artistic inspiration.
