The Hundertwasser 422 colourway comes from his 1959 watercolor “Arbre de pluie” (Tree of Rain), depicting a stylized, flowing tree with colourful rain. Painted in Hamburg on primed wrapping paper, the work reflects Hundertwasser’s rejection of straight lines and his fascination with natural, flowing forms. The playful, organic colours of this yarn echo the lively, patterned rain in the original artwork.

Made from 75% virgin wool (superwash) and 25% polyamide, this hat is soft, absorbent, durable, and machine washable at 40°C. The superwash finish ensures it remains non-felting and unshrinkable, combining practical care with artistic inspiration.
