The Hundertwasser 956 colourway is based on his 1994 watercolor painting “Dadakulaci – Laticauda Colubrina” (Giant Banded Sea Krait), with silver leaf applied in 1995. Painted while in New Zealand on Toberua Island and at his home in Kaurinui, the artwork features the beautifully patterned Laticauda colubrina sea snake. Hundertwasser noted the snake’s deadly bite is never used on humans, reflecting his philosophy of coexistence with nature — a theme echoed in the gentle yet vibrant tones of this yarn.

Made from 75% virgin wool (superwash) and 25% polyamide, this hat is soft, absorbent, durable, and machine washable at 40°C. The superwash finish ensures it remains non-felting and unshrinkable, combining practicality with artistic inspiration.
