The Hundertwasser 988 colourway is based on his 1998 painting “Kiss in the Rain” (Kuss im Regen). Painted between June and October at his home in New Zealand, known as the Bottlehouse in Kaurinui, the mixed-media work combines watercolor, egg tempera, acrylic, and oil on paper, mounted on linen, and finished with delicate applications of silver and gold leaf. The artwork captures a romantic, joyful moment in the rain, reflecting Hundertwasser’s ability to find happiness and inspiration in simple, everyday experiences.

Made from 75% virgin wool (superwash) and 25% polyamide, this hat is soft, absorbent, durable, and machine washable at 40°C. The superwash finish ensures it remains non-felting and unshrinkable, combining practical care with artistic inspiration.
