The huia feather is a revered treasure for Māori, symbolising leadership and mana. Feathers from the tail of the huia were highly prized, traditionally worn in the hair or around the neck by both men and women. These precious feathers were often stored in intricately carved boxes known as wakahuia.

Crafted from engraved black gravograph, these earrings beautifully capture the elegance of the huia feather. They measure 5.5 cm in length and are finished with silver-plated (nickel free) hooks for comfortable wear.
