Waipunarangi is deeply connected to rain — the name translates to "water that pools in the sky." She reminds us that what we give to others often returns to us. Symbolizing the vital role water plays in the cycle of life, Waipunarangi reflects how water evaporates from rivers, oceans, and lakes, only to fall again as rain that nourishes the land and sustains us.

The silver part of the earrings features a design inspired by the tukutuku pattern Roimata Toroa, while the blue Perspex piece represents a raindrop, capturing the essence of this life-giving element.
