Fuelled by the whakatauki "ka mua, ka muri" (walking backwards into the future), this journal encourages returning each month to earlier reflections, layering new insights under the gaze of each moon phase. Over time, these collected writings uncover deeper truths and wisdom.

Created in response to requests following her bestselling books Aroha and Wawata, Dr Hinemoa Elder offers Waitohu as a sacred space to write, reflect, and navigate the complexities of today’s world by drawing strength from the past.
