Anna Gedson – 12-Point Sculptural Kete (Silver & Red)
Whakatohea & Ngati Rua | Maori Contemporary Art | Handmade in Aotearoa

From her studio in Te Moana a Toitehuatahi (Bay of Plenty), Anna Gedson – a proud artist of Whakatohea and Ngati Rua descent – redefines traditional Maori weaving. While kete (baskets) are traditionally crafted from harakeke (flax), Anna innovates with aluminium, blending cultural heritage with contemporary form.

This striking 12-point sculptural kete features a vibrant silver, bright red, and deep red colourway. Carefully handcrafted, each piece is a taonga (treasure) – a sculptural artwork to be admired, valued, and passed down through generations.
