Crafted with care and meaning, these striking O TE MOTU feather earrings combine recycled tyre tubing with native Rakau (Rimu) and sterling silver hooks. Each feather is hand-cut from upcycled tyre material, creating a lightweight yet durable adornment that honours both style and sustainability.

• Handmade in Aotearoa with a focus on sustainability and cultural storytelling

The Story – O TE MOTU: Inspired by the past resourcefulness of our tupuna (ancestors), a present awareness of environmental impact, and a desire for a sustainable future, this kaupapa was born from a homeschooling project with our daughter, Mereana Wairua (8), also known as BOSS KOTIRO. Through O TE MOTU CREATIONS LTD, she learns numeracy, literacy, creativity, social skills, and—most importantly—who she is and how she contributes to society.

Care Instructions: Treat your earrings like the taonga (treasures) they are. Handle gently. Clean with a damp cloth and allow to air dry.
