In 1974, just one year after his first visit to Aotearoa, Friedensreich Hundertwasser designed a powerful poster for New Zealand Conservation Week. This striking visual contribution earned him an official citation from the Nature Conservation Council, honoring his commitment to environmental awareness in New Zealand.

Originally distributed only to conservation groups, a retail print was made available later that year for home display. This poster has not been reprinted since—until now. In celebration of its 50th anniversary in 2024, a very limited reprint is available through the MuseumShop at the Hundertwasser Art Centre.

The poster is also proudly on display in the exhibition “Hundertwasser in New Zealand 1973–2000.”
