This vase object represents Hundertwasser's design of a life that is based on the one hand on a harmonious relationship between humankind and nature and on the other hand on truly creative work.
The artist created the motif "Children and the Environment" for an international children's festival of the Assisi Nature Council with its motto "Peace with Nature". In doing so, he emphasised that children are capable of striving for a life that is connected to both nature and creativity. In order to stay in harmony with nature, humans will have to enter into a peace treaty with nature, while still be aware of their very own right: the right of individual creativity.
