This catalogue showcases the opening exhibition of the Wairau Maori Art Gallery held from 20 February 2022 – 12 June 2022.

Featuring a strong, Northland-centric opening statement, the exhibition brought together an inter-generational lineup of artists — from iconic first-generation contemporary Maori pioneers to established and emerging stars — celebrating the significance of Te Tai Tokerau and Nga Puhi artists in the legacy of Maori art.
